This website ("Site") is operated by Sports Witness LLC, doing business as The Ballpark Witness. Sports Witness LLC is based in Virginia, United States. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. The Ballpark Witness is a personal baseball game log and statistics tracker. It stores information about MLB games attended and the players’ box score statistics from those games.

Information Collected

• Account Information. When registering, users provide an email address and password.
• Password Security. Passwords are not stored in plain text and are securely hashed using the ASP.NET Identity framework.
• User Game Data. The site stores records of games a user marks as attended. Multiple users may link themselves to the same game.
• Usage Information. The application may store limited activity information such as the last time a user accessed the site for operational and administrative purposes.
• Technical Data. Standard server logs may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and access times for security and operational purposes.
• Baseball Statistics. The site stores baseball game results and player statistics imported from publicly available MLB data sources.

How Information Is Used

Account and usage information is used solely to:

• Associate games attended with a specific user account

Site administrators may have access to limited account information and aggregate usage statistics for the purpose of maintaining and improving the application. This may include account email address, number of games recorded, and recent site activity timestamps.

Third-Party Services

Baseball schedules, box scores, awards, and related statistics may be retrieved from publicly available MLB data sources and APIs. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball.

Data Sharing

User Game Data
